Umbra

A study in shadow and light, the Umbra collection from Jensen Outdoor draws the eye along a sculpted, barrel-shaped silhouette that feels as composed in the open sun as it does beneath a shade tree. Created by Chris & Jon Panichella, Umbra brings a soft architectural presence to deep seating and dining alike, with a woven back that shifts in tone as the day moves around it.

Umbra pairs an environmentally-friendly Solara fiber weave, handwoven by family weavers in Vietnam, with grounding accents of FSC®-certified Ipe timber at the arms and feet. The fiber is colored throughout and engineered for years of sun, while Ipe brings the peerless density and weather resistance of slow-grown Bolivian hardwood. Arriving in a rich chocolate brown, the Ipe can be preserved with simple care or allowed to mature into a lustrous silver patina. Choose the cool depth of Silver Wolf or the warm neutrality of Sahara Dust to suit your landscape.

Deep waterfall cushions in your choice of weather-resistant Sunbrella® or Ultraleather® performance fabrics complete a sit designed for lingering. The Umbra collection spans lounge chair, loveseat, sofa, swivel rocker, ottoman, and dining arm and side chairs, so a single design language can carry from the lounge area to the table and back again.
